Ski Crossing of the Ortles Group - 10.04. - 15.04.2016
In Transit to the Glaciers Between Martell and Bormio
The Ortles is considered one of the greatest ski-touring venues of South Tyrol. Especially
remarkable summits include Cevedale and Zufallspitze. However, a crossing of the region
allows one to see the more quiet side of the region and experience more hard-to-reach

Monday, 13.04.: Ascend Monte Cevedale (3.769m) and then descend across the Valle de
Cedec into the “Fornokessel”. Then a small hike to the Rifugio Branca (2.493m), well renowned in the area for its famous chef!

Rifugio Branca. Some of the famous icons like Punta San Matteo (3.678m) and Pizzo Tresero
Thursday, 16.04.: Hike from the Rifugio Branca to Palon de la Mare (3.708 m) and then descend across the Vedretta Glacier to the hard-to-reach Rifugio Larcher (2.608 m).
