Each of our offers is marked with one of the following signs. Please, check that the offer you choose matches with the requirements.

SUMMER

Hiking/Trekking

Difficulty Description
* There are no special requirements. Everybody can take part.
** Some mountain or hiking experience and basic fitness are required.
*** Good level of fitness and mountain experience are required.

SPORT CLIMBING

Difficulty Description
* Easy – between grades II and IV (UIAA), everybody can take part.
** Basic climbing skills in grades IV – V (UIAA) as well as basic belaying skills are required.
*** For experienced climbers able to lead-climb grade V (UIAA) and skilled in belaying.

ALPINE CLIMBING

Difficulty Description
* Easy – everybody can take part, no special requirements needed.
** Routes of medium length and difficulty, grades between III and IV (UIAA). Appropriate for climbers with some previous climbing experience or as a follow-up of the basic course.
*** Good level of fitness and mountain experience required; routes of grades IV and V (UIAA)
**** High level of fitness, experience in alpine climbing as well as lead climbing; routes from grade VI (UIAA).

Winter

SKI TOURING

Difficulty Uphill Downhill
* No previous experience required. You can ski on pisted runs.
** Ascent in moderately steep terrain; you are sure-footed on tracked snow. You are able to use parallel skis on all slopes and on different types of snow.
*** You can move in moderately steep terrain which requires some sharp mountainside turns, walk on the glacier with or without a rope. You can use parallel skis in deep snow in moderately steep terrain by following the mountain guide’s tracks for security reasons.
**** You are able to walk with crampons in steep, alpine terrain. You can use parallel skis in deep snow in steep terrain and with any type of snow.
***** You are confident in high alpine terrain with steep mountainsides and ridges. You can walk with crampons and climb a grade II; considerable parts require the use of the rope.

SNOWSHOEING

Difficulty Ascent
* It implies walking through snow-covered, not too steep terrain without paths and requires a sure foot at some points.
** It implies ascending peaks in snow-covered, moderately steep terrain and requires a sure foot and no fear of heights.
