General terms of contract
GTC of the Alpine School Tre Cime
General Terms and Conditions for Day Tours
1 registration
Our group tours are based on a minimum number of participants. If this number is not reached, the Alpine School Tre Cime is entitled to cancel the event. In this case we will make every effort to offer suitable alternatives. Should you not agree to this, any deposit paid will be refunded in full.
For individual tours, early booking is of great help for the planning of the tour. For a fixed booking we ask for a deposit of €100,00 per guide per day. Guests with a deposit will be given priority and a mountain guide will be reserved. Day tours can also be booked at short notice, however, if there is a high demand (especially in the high season) and / or few good weather days in a week, priority will be given to those guests with a fixed reservation.
2 programme
For safety reasons the mountain guide can change the planned programme or the planned route or cancel the tour, e.g. in case of unfavourable weather conditions, lack of ability of the participants, etc.
3 liability
The mountain guides of the Alpine School Tre Cime are state-certified and internationally recognised mountain guides and therefore also have liability insurance. Despite professional guidance, not all risk can be excluded in the mountains, even by the mountain guide. The mountain guide can minimise the risk, but a residual risk remains. The Alpine School only acts as an intermediary and does not accept any liability.
4 participants
Each participant acts on his/her own responsibility as far as the assessment of his/her own ability is concerned. If there is any doubt as to whether the tour is too demanding, we recommend a preparatory tour so that the mountain guide can assess the participants in advance.
For group tours, the mountain guide will be guided by the weakest participant in the group.
Information regarding problems and/or health restrictions must be communicated in the course of registration.
In case of non-compliance with the instructions of the mountain guide, the participant can be excluded from the group.
5 tours
It is pointed out that the requirements stated in the tour descriptions (physical condition, technical knowledge and equipment) are part of the contract between the Alpine School Tre Cime and the person booking the tour. The mountain guide is entitled to exclude participants who do not meet these requirements from hikes/tours or to cancel the tour.
6 insurance
We recommend that you take out mountain insurance! Check with your insurance company whether you are insured against mountain accidents. If not, an insurance policy can be taken out with Aiut Alpin in the office of the Alpine School Tre Cime.
7 withdrawal
In case of cancellation up to 7 days before the tour, the tour can be cancelled and the deposit postponed for up to 15 months. From the 7th to the 4th day before the start a handling fee of 35% of the total amount will be charged. On the 3rd day 50% of the total amount will be charged, on the 2nd day 70% and from the day before the start of the course the total amount will be charged. In case of cancellation reasons such as accident, illness, etc., the cancellation fees can be transferred to another offer of our programme (within 15 months and with a doctor’s certificate) with the exception of the handling fee.
8 photos/promotional material
The participant agrees that photos may be taken of him/her during the tour/course. This photographic material may be used for promotional purposes on social media and for the Alpine School website.
9 deposit
The reservation is valid as soon as the deposit has been received.
