GTC of the Alpine School Tre Cime

General terms for single day trips

1. Registration
Our group courses have a minumum number of participants. If we do not reach the needed number, the Alpine School Tre Cime can cancel the activity. If that is the case, we will try and find a suitable alternative, otherwise we will fully refund you.

2. Program
For safety reasons the Guide can change the program or the itinerary. That will be the case if for example if there is bad weather or the participants have a problem.

3. Responsabilitiy
The Guides of the Alpine School Tre Cime are state-approved and internationally accredited Guides. Nevertheless when guiding they can only minimize the risks. A residual risk will always be existent.

4. Participants
Every participant has a personal responsibility of assessing his own skills and experience. Information about eventual problems or health issues have to be made known when signing up.
Not following the instructions of the guide can be a reason for being excluded from the group.

5. Tours
We expressly indicate that the requirements listed in the tour descriptions are integral part of this contract. The guide is authorized to exclude participants if they do not meet the requirements necessary.

6. Insurance
All participants are covered for rescue charges. Nonetheless we reccomend an individual accident insurance.

7. Cancellation
In case of withdrawal up to 30 to 4 days before the start, a processing fee of 35% will be charged. On the 3rd day 50% of the total amount will be charged, on the 2nd day 70% and from the day before the start of the course the total amount will be charged. For reasons of resignation such as accident, illness, etc., the cancellation fees, with the exception of the processing fee, can be transferred to another offer of our program (within 15 months and with a medical certificate).

8. Pictures/Publicity
In taking part in our activities you agree to that we can take pictures and use them for publicity.

General terms & conditions for multi-day trips

1. Registration
In order to be able to plan everything thoroughly, it is necessary for you to register in time. Once you have registered, we will send you the confirmation, the list for your equipment as well as the payment arrangement. Two weeks before the course starts, you will be given detailed information on your mountain guide, on where to meet and how to get there. On condition that you approve of the treatment of your data, we will also provide a list of the participants.

2. Payment
Together with the registration confirmation you will also be given the payment arrangement and the bank details. In general, a prepayment of 30% of the sum is required; the final payment has to be effected 30 days before the course starts.

3. Minimum of participants
All our courses require a minimum of participants. If the number of participants is not reached, we are entitled to cancel the course till two weeks before its beginning. In this case, a similar course or the same course, though shortened of one day, will be offered. If a participant does not agree, the whole amount will be refunded.

4. Change of programme
Due to safety reasons, the mountain guide may change the programme or the course of the route. The reasons for it can be adverse weather conditions, danger of avalanches, insufficient skills of the participants or any other unexpected circumstances.

5. Liability
The mountain guides of our alpine school are nationally certified and internationally approved guides and therefore covered by liability insurance. The alpine school Drei Zinnen/ Tre Cime di Lavaredo only acts as intermediary and does not assume any liability.

6. Insurance
Participants are insured for rescue expenses. However, we recommend our clients to conclude a further casualty insurance.

7. Withdrawal
For cancellations up to 30 days prior to the booked departure date a fee of 30% of the total cost arises. For cancellations 15 to 29 days prior to booked departure we shall charge 75% of the total journey fare, for cancellations placed 14 days or less prior to the booked departure a fee of 90% of the total journey costs applies. In this case an additional fee of EUR 125 will be charged.

We recommend you take out a travel cancellation insurance. (for example: Europäische Reiseversicherung)
