General Terms of Contract

GTC of the Alpine School Tre Cime

General Terms and Conditions for Day Tours

1 Registration

Our group tours are dependent on a minimum number of participants. If this threshold is not met, the Alpine School Tre Cime reserves the right to cancel the event. In that case, we will diligently explore suitable alternatives. If you do not agree with this arrangement, any deposit made will be promptly refunded in full.

For individual tours, early booking significantly helps the tour planning. To secure a fixed booking, we request a deposit of €100.00 per guide per day. Guests who have made a deposit will receive priority, and a mountain guide will be reserved for them. While day tours can also be booked on short notice, in cases of high demand (especially during peak seasons) and/or limited good weather days during a week, preference will be given to guests with confirmed reservations.

2 Program

For safety reasons, the mountain guide reserves the right to modify the scheduled program or route or cancel the tour. This may occur, for example, in the event of unfavorable weather conditions or if the participants demonstrate insufficient abilities, etc.

3 Liability

The mountain guides of the Alpine School Tre Cime are certified by the state and internationally recognized as mountain guides, equipped with liability insurance. Despite the professional guidance provided, it’s important to note that not all risks in the mountains can be entirely eliminated, even under the guidance of a mountain guide. While the guide can work to minimize risks, a residual risk may still exist. The Alpine School serves solely as an intermediary and does not assume any liability.

4 Participants

Each participant is responsible for assessing their own abilities. If there is uncertainty about whether a tour is too challenging, we advise taking a preparatory tour so that the mountain guide can evaluate participants beforehand. During group tours, the mountain guide will adjust the pace based on the abilities of the least experienced participant. Any health problems or restrictions should be communicated during the registration process.

Failure to comply with the instructions of the mountain guide may result in the participant being excluded from the group.

5 Tours

Please note that the specified requirements outlined in the tour descriptions (including physical condition, technical knowledge, and equipment) are integral components of the contract between the Alpine School Tre Cime and the individual booking the tour. The mountain guide retains the right to exclude participants who do not meet these requirements from hikes or tours, or to cancel the tour altogether.

6 Insurance

We advise obtaining mountain insurance. Verify with your insurance provider to ensure coverage for mountain accidents. If not already covered, you have the option to purchase an insurance policy through Aiut Alpin at the office of the Alpine School Tre Cime.

7 Withdrawal

If a tour is canceled up to 7 days before the scheduled start, the tour can be canceled with the deposit deferred for up to 15 months. Between the 7th and 4th day before the start, a processing fee of 35% of the total amount will be applied. On the 3rd day, 50% of the total amount will be charged, followed by 70% on the 2nd day. Starting from the day before the course, the full amount will be charged. In case of cancellation due to reasons such as accidents, illness, etc., the cancellation fees, excluding the processing fee, can be transferred to another offering within our program (with a doctor’s certificate and within 15 months).

8 Photos and Promotional Material

By participating, the individual consents to the capture of photographs during the tour/course. These images may be utilized for promotional purposes on social media and the Alpine School website.

9 Deposit

The reservation is valid as soon as the deposit has been received.
