Popena Basso – Mazzorana (IV – 120m)

Directly above Lake Misurina, two intriguing Mazzorana routes cut through the sun-drenched east face of Popena Basso. This relatively short, 130-meter tour provides an ideal introduction to Dolomite climbing.

On the left ‘Mazzorana’, follows the expansive ridge on Popena Basso, which transforms into a chimney in the final third of the rock face. In the ‘Mazzorana – Adler’ on the right side, engaging crack climbing alternates with steep sections on the rock face and an exhilarating horizontal climb.
