Dress rehearsal – ideal preparation for the Grande Cima
Training Tour in the Cadini Group
This specially designed route is the perfect training ground for the normal route of the Cima di Lavaredo. Along the way, you’ll practice all the essential skills: walking on unmarked terrain, hiking on short rope, easy climbing, tackling short key sections, and abseiling.
The approach takes about 40 minutes partially on unmarked terrain toward the Fonda-Savio Hut. The route features plenty of climbing at 2nd grade with short key sections and leads to a secluded summit set in a spectacular mountain landscape.
The descent follows the historic World War I trail, where you’ll also practice on a rock step the technique of abseiling and a short, more challenging climb that mirrors the key section of the normal route of Grande Cima.
