Herbert, a founding member of the Alpine School Tre Cime, served as its CEO for 18 years. He is the director of the Ski and Snowboarding School Sesto Dolomites. His passion for the mountains traces its roots back to his family history. Dating as far back as 1896, his ancestor, Franz Innerkofler, a pioneer and Sesto’s inaugiral mountain guide, guided Paul Grohmann to the summits of several renowned Dolomites peaks, including Cima Tre Scarperi, Cima Grande di Lavaredo and Sassolungo.

One of Herbert’s most cherished tours was and still is the Cima Grande di Lavaredo, which he has climbed with his guests over 250 times, primarily via the normal route.
