Dolomiti senza confini, part 2
The via ferrata high route that unites across borders in the Dolomites.
In via ferratas we cross one of the most beautiful sections of the Dolomites and stay overnight in mountain huts. The route runs largely along the front of the First World War and has now, a hundred years after the end of the war, been opened with the help of an EU project as a via ferrata peace trail. Because the whole tour is rather demanding, we offer you this 2nd part of the itinerary.
Day 0: Travel to Sesto. Briefing and equipment control in the Alpine School. Indipendent ascent to the rifugio Berti where you will meet the mountain guide.
1st day: We hike across the impressive landscapes of Roghel and the via ferrata Cengia Gabriella to Rifugio Carducci.
2nd day: From Rifugio Carducci the hike continues through a via ferrata round Cima Dodici and via Collerena to Rifugio Pian di Cengia and continue to Rifugio Locatelli.
3rd day: After breakfast we walk from the hut through via ferrata Monte Paterno to Rifugio Pian di Cengia and carry on to Rifugio Comici.
