Via ferrata Zandonella
The two variants of the via ferrata Zandonella are the most demanding ones of the Sesto Dolomites.
The southern variant is called Zandonella, the recently renovated southeast route is called Circolo Est. Both variants are exposed, steep and share the impressive rock scenery of the Croda Rossa massif. Both routes lead to the fantastic Croda Rossa di Sesto, past Austrian positions from the First World War.
While the easy via ferrata Croda Rossa is climbed by many from Sesto, the Zandonella is usually quite lonely.
Attention: The long ascent requires good physical preparation and stamina.
